Biology, the study of life, is obviously a vast subject. Though there are millions of species and thousands of cell types, all living things are linked by the dependence on DNA and the genes it inscribes for structure and function. From 4 nucleotides encoding 20 amino acids comes the untold number of unique protein molecules, the building blocks of every living organism. Thus the number of biological subjects that can be illustrated is limitless. My work is mostly focused on cell biology and the biology of model organisms used in biomedical research.
