Editorial illustration is used to visually summarize often complicated and challenging medical or scientific concepts in a creative and attention-grabbing manner. Frequently used on the covers of medical journals, magazines and textbooks, editorial illustration can be found on inside pages as well. Editorial work is much valued by medical artists for the greater degree of creative artistic expression allowed, compared with didactic medical illustration.

All of the editorial monograph covers in this portfolio were created for The American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), Kansas City, Missouri. Each illustration, as well as several additional covers not shown, are available as stock illustration. Please contact Mark for information.
